Another day, another con. Except, welcome to a busy day at New York Comic-Con. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the layout and the map of the area if you’re moving between Madison Square Garden and the Hammerstein Ballroom and Javits. The walk can be rough but it’s the fastest way to get around, so make sure to plan out your schedule with time to walk over. There’s a lot of big panels today so plan out your schedule accordingly and make sure you know what is and isn’t ticketed.
If you’re starting off early and you don’t have any panels, make sure to hit the showroom floor and the rest of Javits for some freebies early in the day to avoid those lines!
You can view the entire Friday schedule HERE.
BBC America Presents: Peter Capaldi Spotlight
10:30am – 11:30am @ The Theater at Madison Square Garden
Before his final episode as the Doctor, Peter Capaldi hits the stage at Madison Square Garden for a fan Q&A. His final episode, the Christmas Special “Twice Upon a Time” will feature Capaldi team up with the First Doctor, played by David Bradley. If you’re a Whovian, this is a can’t-miss opportunity. Capaldi has been one of my favorite doctors so far, and as one of the last conventions he will attend while playing the Doctor, I’d say this one is worth lining up for!
The World of Phillip K. Dick – The Man in the High Castle and Phillip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams

Pacific Rim Uprising

It’s basically a Nerdophiles staff requirement to have a (positive) opinion about Pacific Rim, so you can imagine our excitement at the prospect of the announcement of Pacific Rim Uprising. Joining director Steven S. DeKnight on the Madison Square Garden stage is his cast of John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Burn Gorman, and Cailee Spaeny. It seems almost a guarantee that there will be some new content shown at the panel along with a few updates. You’ll find us livetweeting the panel come noon, so follow along!

Anyone ready to admit with me that they are obsessed with LINE Webtoons? Well, not only is LINE a major part of the convention this year, with the official lanyards LINE themed, but they have their own Webtoons panel that features some of the most popular romance authors who are here to talk about the revitalization of romance in comics. Creators of Siren’s Lament, Late Bloomer, I Love YOO, My Giant Nerd Boyfriend, and Warning Label get on stage to talk about their audience and the movement that they are apart of.
