The day has come where I’m regretting the fact I won’t make it to all of Thursday at NYCC this year! This is a testament to the growing programming schedule at NYCC. Start your convention out right on Thursday where the crowds will be smaller, but the panels just as mighty. From comics to television to a screening of The Nightmare Before Christmas, Thursday has it all. Here’s our highlights, but be sure to check out the whole schedule here

Geek & Sundry: Welcome to the Wednesday Club, New York!
11:00am – 12:00pm @ Room 1A24

Taliesin Jaffe and Amy Dallen take New York by storm in the first every rendition of The Wednesday Club in NYC. If you like comics, you’ll like this panel. Spend an hour with two comic gurus talking about anything and everything comic books.

Jon Glaser Loves Gear

Jon Glaser loves gear and so do we. Hang out with Jon Glaser, John Hodgman, Bowen Yang, and so many more to hear about the new season coming this fall to truTV. Be sure to wear and bring your best gear to the con.

Women in [Everything]: Intersectional Feminism Across Genres

Some of our favorite people are in this panel, including Steenz who moderated an amazing panel about representation in comics and gaming at San Diego Comic Con. The title of this panel really says it all, and the panelists are more than qualified to engage the audience in an in-depth discussion about the importance of ladies in popular culture.

Webtoon Presents “Caster,” Featuring Common

Looking for a new comic to fall in love with? Look no further than Webtoon’s latest, Caster, featuring rapper and actor Common. Common will be joined by the co-creators of the comic, the artist, and the Head of Content at Webtoon to discuss the new release.

Legendary Comics: 2018 and Beyond
1:30pm – 2:30pm @ Room 1B03

Join Legendary Comics (part of Legendary Entertainment) as they discuss their upcoming comic releases. Robert Napton, Nikita Kannekanti, and Jann Jones will be discussing John Barrowman’s new series ACURSIAN, as well as LOST IN SPACE: COUNTYDOWN TO DANGER and more. 

DreamWorks She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, a Netflix Original Series
3:00pm – 4:00pm @ Hammerstein Ballroom

The highly anticipated re-imagining of She-Ra is coming right to New York Comic Con! Noelle Stevenson, Aimee Carrero, and Karen Fukihara will be on stage to discuss their upcoming series and the path from conception to the final product. This is one of the panels we’re most excited about and will no doubt be a highlight of your Thursday.

When Earthlings Become Martians: National Geographic’s Mars, Season 2
3:00pm – 4:00pm @ Room 1A10

Whether you’re a science nerd or just a fan of good television, Mars from NatGeo is probably a panel you won’t want to miss. Jeff Hephner who stars in season two is joined by science experts and fellow actors to discuss the new season coming soon. 
 

Cowboy Bebop 20th Anniversary
4:00pm – 5:00pm @ A106

If you were an anime fan in the 90’s and early 2000’s, you’re probably all too familiar with Cowboy Bebop. It has legendary status as one of the best animes of all time and continues to stand up as the years go by. Join creators and English voice actors as they discuss what the series meant and try to get to the bottom of what makes it a classic.
 

An Evening with Patrick Rothfuss

Ever wanted to hang out with writer Patrick Rothfuss? Well here’s your chance. Known for The Kingkiller Chronicle as well as the new Rick & Morty vs. Dungeons & Dragons comic, fans will get a chance to ask their burning questions. Except stories, strange things, and singing?
 

The Man in the High Castle
6:00pm – 7:30pm @ Hammerstein Ballroom

Get ready to screen the first episode of The Man in the High Castle season three! You’ll be one of the first people to see it prior to the official launch on October 5th. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with cast members and creators. 
 

The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero’s Journey

Come hang out with the creative team behind The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero’s Journey. We’ll be interviewing artist Camilla d’Errico on Saturday, but this panel will be a lot of fun. Hang around afterward for a screening of The Nightmare Before Christmas
