“I’m having candy for dinner!”

Your best friend Netflix has released the first trailer for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, a new comedy from 30 Rock’s Tina Fey and Robert Carlock.

Ellie Kemper (The Office, Bridesmaids) stars as Kimmy Schmidt, a woman that escapes a polygamist cult and tries to rebuild her life in the Big Apple. 30 Rock alums Jane Krakowski and Tituss Burgess (fan-favorite D’fwan) also star.

The show was originally set to premiere midseason on NBC, before Netflix bought the series. This is a perfect situation considering that NBC has just retired its long-running Thursday night comedy block and single camera comedies don’t play well on broadcast networks. The Office, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, and Community were all critical successes that never found a large live audience. All of those shows do have wildly popular online followings, strong enough to bring Community back from cancellation and online to Yahoo Screen this March.

Netflix has already picked up Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for two 13-episode seasons. Kemper was easily the best thing about The Office‘s latter seasons and this show’s blend of weird humor and genuine sincerity seems tailor-made for her comedic sensibilities.

The full first season will be available on Netflix starting March 6th and is bound to become your new cult obsession.
