Apple TV+ has kicked off Spooky Season with its brand-new animated series, The Sisters Grimm. Based on the acclaimed children’s book, the show follows orphaned sisters Sabrina (Ariel Winter, Modern Family) and Daphne (Leah Newman, The Boys). Their lives change when they leave the foster care system and reunite with the grandmother they never knew existed, Relda (Laraine Newman, Saturday Night Live).
If discovering a surprise grandmother wasn’t enough, Relda reveals that their town is magical, that the girls are descendants of the Brothers Grimm, and that there may even be a way to reunite them with the parents they thought were gone forever.
Season one takes the girls on a series of whimsical adventures that test and stretch them in ways they never knew possible. When monsters and threats loom, the girls must enlist the help of Charming (Abubakar Salim, Raised by Wolves) and Puck (Billy Harris, Ted Lasso) to save the day. But can they actually trust the allies laid out before them? You’ll just have to tune in and see!
