It is here! New York Comic Con is finally here, and we here at Nerdophiles are ready to tackle it. With two of our editors and one blogger in attendance, we will no doubt bring you the latest and greatest news from the Big Apple. If you will be joining us here in New York for the convention, we’ve put together a list of highlights to help you kick off the weekend.

Thursday should be one of the best days for the sales floor before the crowds swarm in Friday and Saturday, and the deal seekers take over on Sunday. Below are going to be our picks for the day, but you can view the entire Thursday schedule HERE.

STARZ Presents: Ash vs. the Evil Dead – 11:00AM-12:00PM

Join the cast of Ash vs. the Evil Dead at the Hammerstein Ballroom for an hour full of entertainment. Bruce Campbell and Lucy Lawless are set to lead the charge as the cast discusses past and future seasons of the show and hopefully answer some of your burning questions.

Loot Crate Presents: Unboxing the Wizarding World – 12:00PM-12:15PM

Check out Booth #154 where our friends over at Loot Crate will take a few minutes to discuss what’s next for their popular Wizarding World subscription box. Guests from will be present.

Hasbro Star Wars – 12:15PM-1:15PM

Hasbro is the leading entity when it comes to everything Star Wars. With Star Wars: Rogue One coming out this December and the next installment of the renewed trilogy the following year, any Star Wars fan will not want to miss the in-depth look at the current toy line, or any potential hints as to what will come. You can find them in room 1A21.

Nat Geo’s StarTalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson – 12:45PM-1:45PM

Get ready, hardcore science fiction fans, because Neil deGrasse Tyson is bringing his endless space knowledge to New York Comic Con to discuss everything we need to know about… everything! Be sure to get to the Hammerstein Ballroom early because this is going to be one heck of a panel.

Amazon Prime Video Presents – 1:30PM-2:30PM

Amazon has quickly risen to become a streaming television titan as their Amazon Prime Video streaming service takes off, packed to the brim with original series. With big names like The Tick and Sneaky Pete coming to the service, you will not want to miss out on what Amazon Prime Video has next. Room 1A06.

Tales from the TARDIS – 2:00PM-3:00PM

Join Matt Smith, Alex Kingston, and Jenna Coleman on the AT&T Main Stage 1-D and hear stories from the set of Doctor Who and the adventures of Eleven. Don’t forget, you have to grab a wristband first thing in the morning to get into this panel, and the room is cleared after every panel is complete.

Hulu’s Limelight Documentary Batman & Bill – 2:45PM-3:45PM

If you love Batman, then this is the panel for you. Often unrecognized Batman co-creator, Bill Finger, finally gets his chance to be in the spotlight thanks to a new Hulu documentary. During the panel, audiences will get a sneak peek of the film and get a chance to engage in a Q&A with the minds behind it. Room 1A06.

The Exorcist – 3:45PM-4:45PM

Creators of the new show The Exorcist took a break from filming to come to New York Comic Con and dish on the new series, as well as offer fans a chance to see the third episode before everyone else! The screening will take place at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

IDW Publishing: The Revolution and Beyond – 5:00PM-6:00PM

IDW has given the world some of the best comics, and continues to produce quality material day in and day out. Join a number of the minds behind the publisher as they discuss current plans, give hints to the future, and offer the audience a chance to win some swell prizes. Room 1A02.

Stan Against Evil: Advanced Screening & Q&A – 5:15PM-6:15PM

Get a chance to see the premiere of the new series Stan Against Evil before the rest of the world, followed by a Q&A with stars John McGinely and Janet Varney. Room 1A06.

truTV’s Jon Glaser Loves Gear: Live Q&A with Jon Glaser – 5:30PM-6:30PM

There’s no way this panel will be anything but awesome, as Jon Glaser takes the stage to discuss his upcoming series alongside his fellow cast members. If you love Jon Glaser (and how could you not?) then you’ll love this panel. Room 1A10.
