Ellen DeGeneres took the single most epic selfie ever tonight at the the Oscars. What started out as a selfie with Meryl Streep turned into a selfie with Meryl Streep and then Julia Roberts and the, of course, the gorgeous Channing Tatum and… well. You can see for yourself below what that turned into!
The goal was go get the most retweeted picture ever and I think they can safely say they did. Apparently they surpassed that goal in less than forty five minute which isn’t surprising at all considering how desperately we all waited for it to go live. As I right this now it currently has 2,348,469 retweets and 1,129,919 favorites and you can bet that number is only going to grow. Shortly after it was posted it actually broke Twitter. The site crashed briefly (it was having issues all night) and it was all thank’s to Ellen’s awesomeness.
If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s the awesome selfie.
If only Bradley's arm was longer. Best photo ever. #oscars pic.twitter.com/C9U5NOtGap

Kevin Spacey’s face is priceless. (As was his Frank Underwood bit earlier in the show.)
The former record was held by President Obama who tweeted a picture of himself and his wife, Michelle. It’s still a super cute picture.
