December is upon us, meaning it’s time to start buying holiday gifts for your nerdy friends. The problem though is that sometimes our friends and family, while they are just as nerdy, are sadly not always the same “type” of nerdy. Maybe you love Star Wars, but your friend is more of a LOTR-til-they-die type of person. Well, this gift guide has you covered! Use it to find a gift for absolutely every type of nerd on your list.

The Disney Nerd

Assuming they already have a subscription to Disney+, then the next best gift for Disney fanatics would be Villainous, the board game. In the game, you can pick to play as one of several villains, including the Queen of Hearts, Maleficent, Jafar, Captain Hook, Ursula, and Prince John from Robin Hood. Being bad has never been so fun—it’s no surprise this game won a 2019 Toy of the Year award!

The Old School Geek

I bought one of these Atari consoles last year, and the flood of childhood nostalgia was real. It comes with controllers and preloaded with the throwback games you played your entire childhood like Asteroids, Centipede, and Frogger.

If you’re looking for more of a stocking stuffer, then this throwback insert coin key chain, reminiscent of 80’s arcades, might be the perfect gift.

The Nintendo Nut

This Mario warp pipe water bottle cooler is simple, yet amazing, and available at Target! If your Nintendo Nerd is more of a coffee-in-a-mug type of person, then these Nintendo Cartridge Coasters would probably make them very happy.

The Potter Head

On top of the candies and wands and assorted clothing that you could buy for the Harry Potter fan in your life, why not get them something that will also keep them busy on a snowy night in? This Harry Potter Crochet set offers instructions and supplies to turn your favorite HP characters into dolls.

The Tech and Camera Connoisseur

How do you buy a gift for the nerd who already has all the coolest gear? Go the mobile route! First, do they have the new iPhone 11? If they don’t, start there. With features like night mode and an ultra-wide lens, it has an amazing camera in general, not just for a cell phone.

If your lucky friend does have an iPhone 11, then you should buy them this set of smartphone camera lenses that are attachable, light, easy to use, and yield quality results for your money. Chances are they haven’t indulged in camera gear for their smartphone yet! Not an iOS person? These lenses also work with the Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy.

The Marvel Maniac

Instead of getting them comics, games or movies, get your Marvel nerd a book about the origin stories of the most famous characters in the Marvel Universe. This Marvel Studios book, covering 10 years of the most recent marvel studios content, is great if you want something they definitely won’t buy for themselves. Plus, you can personalize it!

The DC Dork

This DC Comics book is a chronological visual history of the DC Universe, covering everything from the comics’ origins, to their creators, to their evolution into the household icons they have become today. What makes this gift so awesome is that it doesn’t matter which comic your DC friend is into the most— this book covers them all!

The Jedi Junkie

If your Star Wars Superfan is a fan of the entire franchise, then I’d recommend these adorable droid coquette pots from Williams Sonoma. If they’re more of an original saga purist, then this R2-D2 Instant Pot pressure cooker is probably more their speed.

For the gamers, there’s EA’s new installment into the universe – Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. If they’re just getting into Disney+’s new series The Mandalorian how about these  Star Wars themed Popsockets (we’re partial to the ones of baby Yoda)? Whichever you choose, your friend will be able to whip up something more delicious than roasted porg with this gift!

The LOTR Fanatic

Sometimes, we get so caught up in our fandoms that they seem like real places to us, which is why I love this shirt as a gift for any LOTR fan. Modeled after those national parks posters you see all over Pinterest, this T-shirt makes Mordor seem as real as ever, which is sure to make any LOTR fan smile.
