I’m a pretty big Rick and Morty fan and I am sure I’m going to find at least a few Rick and Morty-themed gifts under the tree this year. The series has become pretty ubiquitous at this point with the jokes and references pouring into the real world. Even McDonalds got wrapped up in it all when Rick shared his obsession with their discontinued Szechuan Sauce. So more than likely you have at least one Rick and Morty fan on your holiday gift lists.

No worries though!

Even if you’re not at all familiar with the show you can still pick out a great gift. There are tons of fun Rick and Morty gifts you can find ranging from the blu-ray sets to magnetic poetry to t-shirts. We’ve gone through and picked out a few Rick and Morty related gift ideas that are sure to please any fan on your list this year. We started out with some basic ideas like comics, games, and action figures but we also included some other ideas, too! Read on and let us know what you think in the comments.

The Rick and Morty Comics

Personally, I think that the Rick and Morty comics currently being released by Oni Press are the best gift for most fans. They’re a great way to keep the laughs coming despite the show’s short seasons and long hiatuses. The original creative team doesn’t really have anything to do with them but the writers on the comics are awesome. Many of the arcs feel like they could have just as easily appeared on television as part of one of the regular seasons.

So far there are five trade paperback volumes available with the sixth coming out shortly before Christmas. You can pick them up individually — or you can splurge on the two hardcover editions, which collect the first four volumes. There’s also a Mr. Poopybutthole-centric miniseries available, too!

The Rick and Morty Official Coloring Book

The adult coloring book hype is still going strong and Rick and Morty fans can get in on the action now, too, with this official coloring book. This is easily one of the best adult coloring books I own. Some of the images are pulled from scenes in the show, while others are entirely original.

Fan favorites like Mr. Poopybutthole, Krombopulos Michael, Ants-in-My-Eyes Johnson, and Scary Terry all make appearances and you’ll explore scenes from Inter-Dimensional cable and more. The line work on all of these images is perfect. Simple and thin, it allows the person coloring in the images a lot of freedom.

The Art of Rick and Morty

This recently released Rick and Morty artbook is the perfect gift for fans who want to delve deeper into the world of Rick and Morty. The book was written by James Siciliano, who worked on much of the show’s third season and features an introduction by series co-creator Justin Roiland.

It offers insight into character designs, environments, production process, and more. Plus the writing throughout and the interior designs really keep with the show’s humor. It’s certainly not an artbook that takes itself too seriously which makes it even more fun.

The Rick and Morty Board Games

There have recently been a surge in the number of Rick and Morty-themed board games, which means that you have some fun potential gifts for your Rick and Morty obsessed giftees. Some of the games are entirely original while others are just re-skinned classics.

Your best bet is going to be the cooperative Total Rickall card game based on the iconic episode that introduced us to a ridiculous cast of characters, including Mr. Poopybutthole. But there are some other options too including a game based on Anatomy Park, the deck building game Close Encounters of the Rick Kind, and a Meeseeks-themed dice game.

Looking for some more classic games? There’s a re-themed Rick and Morty version of Monopoly, with squares like ‘Interdimensional Cable TV’ and ‘Get Schwifty’ and locations such as Morty’s Bedroom and Planet Squanch. Similarly there’s a Rick and Morty version of Clue that pops you into the multi-verse as you try to recover the plans to Rick’s portal gun and figure out who stole them in the first place.

If you’re a Munchkin fan, there’s also a Rick and Morty Munchkin edition available now. And if you’re really going for the traditional game feel you can pick up these Rick and Morty themed playing cards.

Action Figures and Plushies

There are tons of Rick and Morty action figures and plushies available for the fans on your list who like to have fun collectibles around. The ubiquitous Funko company has a ‘master toy license’ for the series they have a bunch of products out including their usual Pop! figures as well as plushies, keychains, pens, and more. Their most recent Rick and Morty Pop! wave even includes Pickle Rick! And if you want to give someone more than just a single figure Hot Topic still has their ‘mystery boxes’ available which have a young Rick pop among other fun little things.

There’s also another series of larger plushies from JINX that include a handful of SDCC exclusives that you can still track down online for a decent price. And, of course, you can really score a win with any Rick and Morty fan with this hand-made Pickle Rick plushie! If you want to really go all out on figures, though, check out this awesome (if pricey) vinyl figure.

Rick and Morty fans who are also LEGO lovers will be disappointed (though probably not at all surprised) to find there are no Rick and Morty-themed sets. But there are some building sets from MacFarlane Toys, which feature small, buildable scenes and characters from the series. You can even get characters like Krombopulos Michael, Ants-in-My-Eyes Johnson, Scary Terry, and Evil Morty!

A Home-Made Rick Costume

If you want to have some fun with a Rick and Morty fan on your list consider making them their own Rick Sanchez costume. One of the simpler characters to cosplay, anyone can throw on a lab coat and a blue wig to become their favorite alcoholic scientist!

All you have to do is search for lab coats on Amazon to bring up suggestions for related gifts to complete Rick’s look including belts, blue shirts, flasks, wigs, and stick-on mustaches that can double as Rick’s eyebrows. Grab a pair of brown pants and a toy model of Rick’s portal gun to round things out! There’s a licensed lab coat available on Amazon, too, but it’s super pricey.

For some real laughs, wrap each item individually and give them to your giftee separately starting with the nondescript pants or belt. See how long it takes them to figure things out!

Ugly Christmas Sweaters

With all the ugly sweater parties people are hosting these days, you may want to consider giving the Rick and Morty fan on your list their present early. There are a number of great Rick and Morty ugly sweaters available that are sure to be a hit throughout the holiday season. Though, admittedly, they aren’t all necessarily appropriate to wear in public.

With these sweaters you can encourage people to Get Schwifty and Riggity Riggity Wrecked, Son. Or just wish them a Happy Human Holiday… but maybe don’t wear this sweater with dead, naked, homeless Santas around kids. There are a few other Schwifty options as well as a couple Pickle Rick inspired Sweater Rick holiday sweaters. Check out Amazon, Etsy, and other sites for more options!

Rick and Morty Stickers & Enamel Pins

One of the best ways to share your love (or your giftees love) of Rick and Morty is by making everyone aware of it. You can do that through stickers and pins — and there are some seriously awesome enamel pins out there. I went through and picked out some really cool ones that I think a lot of fans will like.

Keep in mind that a lot of these are Etsy listings so make sure to check the shop’s Christmas shipping information. Overseas sellers may not be able to get you the gifts in time for the holidays and you’ll want to order soon from domestic sellers just to make sure they can get your orders in the mail in time!

Pickle Rick, Szechuan Dipping Sauce, and Shoney’s Gear

You can find tons of Rick and Morty wearable merchandise online but I’m going to specifically focus on these three specific jokes for now. Do a quick Google, Etsy, or Amazon search and you’ll find tons of stuff featuring Pickle Rick or Rick’s obsession with the McDonalds Szechuan Sauce. Even if you’re not familiar with the series you’ve probably heard these references. So keep an eye out for t-shirts, pins, and more featuring the McNugget Sauce. And anything with Rick’s eyes saying he turned him into something (like, say, a mug) is sure to get a laugh, too.

If you really want to make a Rick and Morty fan’s day, though, and reference one of the less common jokes then I’d recommend stopping by Shoney’s and seeing if you can get a gift card or buy some merchandise from them directly. If not, you can pick up a Shoney’s mug on Etsy!
