Friday looks like it’s going to be a big day for TV lovers and is, as always, one of the biggest days of the weekend! If you’ve still got some blank spaces in your schedule, no problem, we’ve got you covered with some of our picks both inside and outside of the convention hall!

Fox & WB Ticket Drawings for Autographs 7:00am – 11:00pm @ Sails Pavilion

If you’re a collector of autographs like I am, you’re up at the crack of dawn waiting in the B20/Exhibit hall line to book it to one or both of these two lines. Both lines start in the Sails Pavilion and include their list of daily signings at the drawing location. If you plan on doing this, look to jumping in line EARLY. The lines fill up fast and it’s first-come-first-serve.

Vikings Long Ships and Drinking Horns (All-Day) Morning Route pick-ups 9:00am – 12:30pm Manchester Grant Hyatt ; Afternoon Route 1:00pm – 5:00pm pick ups 7th Ave/Market St

In addition to their panel and their booth, Vikings is doing complimentary longship rides for their fans! The ride comes with a drinking horn that offers some sweet drink deals around the Gaslamp. Be sure to head over to the pickup locations (depending on the time) and jump on for a free ride around the Gaslamp!

FX Fearless Arena (All-Day) @ Hilton Bayfront Park

After the success they had last year with the Homer Dome, FX is bringing four shows with them to show off with interactive experiences! Register online or head directly over to the lawn in front of the Hilton Bayfront to see what they’ve got in store!

The Assassin’s Creed Experience 10:00am – 5:00pm @ Martin Luther King Jr. Promenade

Last year, we saw some awesome parkour course set up to promote Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series and it looks like this year they’ve returned for round two!

Nickelodeon and Dark Horse Comics: Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra 10:00am – 11:00am @ Room 25ABC

One of my absolute favorite animated series is the Avatar series, and even though the show is over, the comics universe continues to expand and this looks to be the panel to catch for comics readers. Both co-creators and executive producers Mark DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are scheduled to attend!

Behind the Music: Syfy Thrills and Chills 10:00am – 11:00am @ Room 23ABC

Music and soundtrack aficionados should consider stopping by this panel for some insight into the creation process of some of their favorite composers.

Push Boundaries Forward: Gender, Diversity, and Representation in Comic Books 10:00am – 11:00am @ Room 4

These days diversity is more important than ever, and it’s about time! Comic books have been notoriously late to the diversity train, and it’s time to get the discussion started.

Image Comics: Where Creators Own Process 11:00am – 12:00pm @ Room 23ABC

Speaking of comics, Image is quickly turning into one of the leading comic book publishers and bringing you talented and original content every year, why not check out their panel and see what else they have in store? (Also shout out to Nick Dragonetta and Johnathan Hickman of East of West)

DC Entertainment: One-on-One with Geoff Johns 11:15am – 12:15pm @ Room 6DE

Chief creative officer and writer Geoff Johns of DC Entertainment sits down for a one-on-one with the fans. Talking to movie stars is always fun but if you’re here to ask some hard DC questions, this is a can’t-miss panel!

Falling Skies: The Final Farewell 11:15am – 12:15pm @ Ballroom 20

Falling Skies premiered their final season at the end of June and now it’s time to say good bye to TNT’s apocalyptic alien series after five seasons. Fans of the show should definitely stop by at this panel!

Lucifer Pilot Screening and Q&A 11:30am – 12:30pm @ Room 6BCF

Lucifer looks to be an entertaining new series that puts the emphasis on sympathy for the devil. Catch the pilot at this panel as well as a follow up Q&A with the panelists.

AMC’s The Walking Dead 12:00pm – 1:00pm @ Hall H

Always a huge panel that attracts fans from all walks of nerdom, if you’ve got plans for this panel prepare to start the camp out either overnight or early morning!

Call of Duty Black Ops III: Zombies Escape Room Challenge  12:00pm – 8:00pm @ 450 Second Ave

If you’re the interactive sort, head over to 450 Second Ave in the Gaslamp for a chance to see if you’ve got what it takes to escape the room, Call of Duty style! This event runs all weekend, so head over when you have the chance!

The 100 Special Video Presentation and Q&A 12:30pm – 1:30pm @ Ballroom 20

CW’s hit series The 100 returns to SDCC before their third season’s premiere this fall. We’ve become huge fans of this show, and it’s gained a huge following. It looks to be a very exciting panel!

Marvel: All-New All-Different Avengers 12:45pm – 1:45pm @ Room 6BCF

Marvel brings their creative team to talk about the new set of earth’s mightiest heroes! The team looks very promising, and it looks to be really interesting especially for comic book readers following the current releases.

AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead 1:00pm – 2:00pm @ Hall H

Looking forward to more walking dead? Well besides AMC’s The Walking DeadFear the Walking Dead, the spin-off series will also be at Hall H. If you’re already in Hall H for The Walking Dead why not stay to see what the new series has in store?

Minority Report 1:45pm – 2:45pm @ Ballroom 20

Fox’s new series based on the 2002 film looks to be a very interesting new series. The panel will give fans of the film a look into what the television show could offer!

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate: It’s Time for a Bloody Ruckus 2:00pm – 3:00pm @ Room 6BCF

Ubisoft’s popular Assassin’s Creed series continues with Syndicate this year and will be bringing the game to SDCC. For those who are looking for a more in-depth look into the upcoming came, head over to 6BCF for the panel, including with voice actors Paul Amos (Jacob Frye) Victoria Atkin (Evie Frye) and a behind-the-scenes look into the game.

Game of Thrones Panel and Q&A Session 2:30pm – 3:30pm @ Hall H

A show that needs no introduction; Game of Thrones returns to SDCC with their cast to talk our favorite HBO fantasy series. Hall H looks to be a great TV day for fans who have camped out overnight!

Marvel Television Presents 3:00pm – 4:00pm @ Ballroom 20

Speaking of TV, Marvel didn’t bring any movies with them to SDCC but they did bring their TV division. This means Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Marvel’s Agent Carter. The cast of both shows will be in attendance, and it looks to be a huge panel. And anyone who knows me, knows I adore both shows, it’s a can’t-miss for me!

History’s Vikings 3:30pm – 4:30pm @ Room 6A

With their outdoor longboat experiences and setups, Vikings always goes big at San Diego. Fans of the show should head over to the panel if they want a deeper look into the upcoming season and talk about the recent season.

Entertainment Weekly: Brave New Warriors 4:00pm – 5:00pm @ Hall H

Orphan Black, The Strain, Heroes RebornOutlander, The Frankenstein Code, The Walking Dead, all in one panel? Count me in! Stars from these shows will be showing up in Hall H to share stories and it is sure to be a very entertaining panel.

Sense8 4:45pm – 5:45pm @ Room 6A

Netflix’s new series Sense8 has taken my own life by storm and seems to be the hidden gem on Friday’s packed list of star-studded panels. If you enjoyed the series, I definitely recommend this panel.

New DC Universe: The Bad Guys: Are You Ready? 5:30pm – 6:30pm @ Room 5AB

In my honest opinion, no one does villains better than DC, and it looks like DC is bringing their creative minds behind fan favorite villains and turning it into a whole panel. Hooray for the bad guys!

 

Orphan Black: BBC America Official Panel 5:45pm – 6:45pm @ Room 6BCF

BBC America brings the popular Orphan Black to SDCC with a full cast and creators. I love this show and there’s nothing better than hearing the talented Tatiana Maslany talk about her work on the show and taking on so many personas.

Nerd Nite 7:00pm – 10:30pm @ Silo in Makers Quarter

A little bit away from the con center, but our staff’s favorite party last year! If you’ve got free time that night, head down to Silo for a laidback party with food and drinks and nerdy fun! Those who weren’t able to score an RSVP can head over to register at the door!

World Premiere of Justice League: Gods & Monsters 7:00pm – 9:00pm @ Ballroom 20

DC Entertainment brings the world premiere of Justice League: Gods & Monsters to SDCC. With a screening and a panel of guests, this panel promises exclusive prizes for some people and surprise guests. Sounds like a good way to end the night!
