Ever since the reveal of Assassin’s Creed: Unity at E3 earlier this summer, Ubisoft has been doing steady releases of content from cinematic trailers to gameplay demos. They appeared at this year’s San Diego Comic Con with a parkour course complete with the infamous Leap of Faith. Today at GamesCom, they showed off the game’s setting, Paris, and the playground in which your assassin gets to roam.

Anyone who knows Ubisoft, knows that they are based in France, and often play to their French origins in the game. It’s no surprise that they would finally return to their roots and base a game solely in the country’s capital of Paris. In the past, Assassin’s Creed: Liberation already set itself in the Franco-influenced state of Louisiana with a African-French protagonist. The trailer revealed today is dubbed the Paris Horizon trailer, and shows off the geographical setting of Paris during the French Revolution as well as some cinematic gameplay of Arno sweeping through the streets of Paris.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity is set to be released later this year October 28th, 2014 on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC making it Ubisoft’s first completely next-gen game.
